Ford Downpipes

Coming in June 2007. Pypes has done it again. These mandrel bent downpipes are the only mandrel bent 2.5" downpipes to connect directly to your stock 289-351 standard manifolds via a clever ball socket and flange connection. They are very easy to install. Expect 5-8 extra horsepower because of the 2.5" and smooth mandrel bends. These downpipes end right at the crossmember humps so they will easily connect to the Pypes SFM03 header back system without modifications.

Collector Reducers

Our welded, extended length reducers (12") eliminate unnecessary seams, clamps and extra work. They are now all 304 Polished Stainless Steel.

Do-It-Yourself Collector Reducers

For those of you who have mid length headers, you will probably need to make custom collector reducers to complete your exhaust system. Unfortunately most header manufacturers leave off this little detail when you buy their headers. Pypes has made it pretty easy though. Install your headers and then choose the appropriate angle bend necessary(30 or 45 degree). Pick the matching size flange from the list below. Sometimes the angle of the pipe will be a slightly degree than the angle of the header flange. So you will need to cut the end of the pipe at the correct angle and weld the flange to that pipe. Now you have a custom set of ‘dogleg’ reducers that slip fit right into our header back exhaust system.
