The owner of this '66 Goat had this to say about his exhaust install experience:
We installed 2 1/2" ceramic X-pipes, stainless band clamps, 18" Street-Pro mufflers and PY's ram-air exhaust manifolds (that I had ceramic coated).
The engine and the exhaust system run and sound great. No interior resonance and minimal noise until you "step to the rear". Nice loping Pontiac growl.
Without sounding too much like an Academy Award winner...I need to share a thumbs-up (or beers-up) to Performance Years, Pypes, Preston Grant for a real nice short-block, Cliff Ruggles for an excellent Q-jet and lots of tech help and Tom Reedy of Tri-Motors for installing the motor and exhaust system. Tom (a fellow car nut and great mechanic) even used a plumb-bob to align the exhaust components?!
After the pictures were taken, we repainted the black undercarriage. I hope the pictures show up okay.
